On the K-Scale at Memambetsu

Abstract

 In order to determine the K-scale at Memambetsu, the frequency distributions were calculated, from the data from January to December, 1953. comparing with those at twelve stations. (Sitka, Niemegk, Cheltenham, Toledo, Tucson, Istanbul-Kandilli, San Juan, Teoloyucan, Kakioka, Honolulu, Huancayo, Watheroo). The correlations with K at Kakioka and Kp were studied. As the result of these statistics, the K-scale at Memambetsu was determined as follows.
  Lower limits of ranges R for three-hour-range indices K.
