In October 2026, the XXIst IAGA Workshop on Geomagnetic Observatory Instruments, Data Acquisition and Processing (KAKIOKA2026) will take place at Kakioka Magnetic Observatory (Kakioka, Ishioka City, Ibaraki Prefecture) under the sponsorship of Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).
Organized by Division V of the International Association of Geomagnetic Aeronomy (IAGA), this international workshop is held biennially for the purposes of ensuring national observation standards, improving measurement accuracy and enhancing the global magnetic observation network.
The venue is selected from magnetic observatories around the world. We are honored to host the workshop again, which will be the first event in 22 years in Kakioka, since the XIth IAGA Workshop in 2004.
