Brief overview ( geomagnetic storms)
Large geomagnetic field disturbances commence suddenly or gradually. Those with and without a sudden onset are referred to as geomagnetic storm of sudden commencement type and gradual commencement type, respectively. Related changes in geomagnetic fields induce geoelectric currents in the earth.
Numbers in brackets indicate the total of geomagnetic storms observed within the month.
