On Characteristics of Geomagnetic Variation at Matsushiro

Abstract
Geomagnetic observations were carried out in the premises of Matsushiro Seismological Observatory (36°32'N，138°12'E) from October 1965 to September 1967. By using these data, characteristics of geomagnetic variation at Matsushiro were investigated mainly in comparison with Kakioka.
Characteristics at Matsushiro are similar to those at Kakioka in general，excep that amplitudes of rapid variation in vertical component at Matsushiro are less than half of those at Kakioka. And it is noticeable that the ratio of ΔＤ(Matsushiro)/ΔＤ(Kakioka) for the short period variation is about 1.6.
